Problem :
Gemeente Vlaardingen needed a comprehensive learning environment that was intuitive, engaging and relevant for a diverse workforce. With varying roles and knowledge levels across the municipality, existing learning offerings didn’t align with the needs of all employees or support consistent development.
Solution :
Together, we created “De Vlaardingse Academie,” a tailored learning environment built on Studytube. By analysing use cases from other municipalities and assessing internal needs, I advised on the most relevant content, the platform's technical structure, and how learning should be displayed and navigated. The result is a user-friendly, organised environment that makes learning accessible and meaningful for every employee.
Challenge :
The main challenge was ensuring that the learning environment seamlessly integrated with the municipality’s HR system. This required coordinating technical setup, aligning data structures, and making sure user access, roles and learning assignments synced correctly. A smooth integration was essential to guarantee that employees could effortlessly access the platform and that administrators could rely on accurate, automated data flows.
