Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
How many buyers use EDTC today?
EDTC launched this year, and the buyer audience is being built through a weekly newsletter. The EdTech Brief at brief.edtc.io, covering trends, vendor analysis, and buying guides. Founding vendors pay €999/year for exactly that reason: the price reflects being early. Once the audience is sized, pricing changes for everyone else. You're trading patience for a locked rate.
How is EDTC different from G2 or Capterra?
Two things. First, EDTC is EdTech-only. Buyers landing here are actively looking for learning platforms, not filtering through 400 unrelated categories. Second, every profile is written editorially. No sponsored top placements, no pay-to-play rankings, no buyer reviews EDTC can't verify. Scores are built from transparent data, not bought.
What does "locked forever" actually mean?
€999/year. Same price in 2028, 2029, 2030. When EDTC pricing goes up for new vendors (and it will), founding vendors still pay €999. The only way the rate changes is if you cancel and re-sign later, at which point standard pricing applies.
Can I review my profile before it goes live?
Yes. After you submit the onboarding form, EDTC schedules a 30-minute review call where you walk through every field and push back on anything that feels off. Nothing publishes until you approve it.
Can I cancel? What happens to my profile?
Yes, any time. If you cancel, your profile reverts to the free Basic layout, no scores, no feature matrix, no pricing visible. Your founding badge stays on forever. You don't get removed, you just stop controlling the fields.
